Crazy paved paths and low retaining walls
NORTH WARRANDYTE.

In the hills of Melbourne's outer north-east, with views to the Dandenongs and surrounds this renovated family home needed a landscape worthy of the stylish and detail-oriented clients. The steep block makes for a fantastic view but was not without its challenges. Endicott crazy paving wraps the house and pathways, with low rendered stone walls retaining the slope and creating garden bed space. At the top, veggies and flowers burst out of the round concrete planters and the timber chook-house is a sturdy and enviable dwelling in it's own right. For family fun and entertaining, a hypnotic circular green-tiled pool is the star of the show - our mates at The Pool & Garden Company really did a top notch job on that!

Large boulders are used throughout to retain the steep aspect and to create garden beds and microclimates. At the bottom corner of the property, a place for a fireplace and good conversation - all the while looking upon the valley beyond.
